Accessibility
Everyone should be able to use this site, and our center.
Accessibility is part of the Tech-Futures community promise: nobody should be excluded from technology because of age, experience, or ability.
How this website is built
We target the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. In practice that means this site is built with:
- Semantic landmarks and a skip link, so screen readers can move around quickly
- Full keyboard operation, including the menu and every form control
- A visible focus indicator on anything you can interact with
- Labels, hints, and spoken error messages on every form field
- Meaningful alternative text on images that carry information
- Text and interface colors chosen to meet contrast requirements
- Respect for the operating system's reduced-motion setting
- Layouts that work from a 375 px phone up to a wide desktop, and reflow when text is enlarged
Program accommodations
If you or your child needs an accommodation to take part in a class or visit the center, such as seating, larger text, hearing support, a slower pace, or anything else, call 757-577-1016 or email support@tech-futures.com before the session and we will arrange it.
